 About The Role

We are seeking a Multimedia Reporter to join our dynamic news team. The key focus of this role is working to the daily news schedule. The role requires mojo experience in a vibrant and exciting work environment.

The successful candidate will support the news team across all our stations and the Network News service of Independent Local Radio Stations and will report to the Group Head of News.

What you'll do:

• Attend markings at the direction of the Editor
• Chase breaking and emerging stories
• Develop new news lines on existing stories
• File to hourly deadlines
• Record and edit audio and video in the field
• Provide detailed analysis and conduct seamless Q&A’s tailored to a variety of programme formats

• Your contacts book is unrivaled
• You have excellent storytelling skills 
• You are a superb copywriter with the ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines 
• You have a thorough knowledge of the regulatory, legal environment and institutions of the state

• You have 3+ years’ of experience in news reporting
• You hold a full clean driver's licence
• You have a third-level degree in Journalism or a related disapline.
