Job Description

IKEA Components is looking for a Requirement & Design Engineer (RDE) who combines automation and mechanical design with our great team of Engineers within retail equipment. The base in your work will be to work with both digital solutions, mechanical design and lighting. You will implement software and automation development in a mechanical environment like digitally present "mechanical" products.

  • University degree in engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Five year’s work experience in engineering
  • Experience from “mechatronic” design
  • Good analytical skills and a pro-active and problem-solving approach
  • Experiences of FEA engineering and simulation
  • Good communication skill
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

As a Requirement & Design Engineer (RDE) you will be responsible for:

  • Develop products within the retail equipment range in different materials and functions from concept sketches to final product.
  • Responsible for improvements of the current range and creating range plans for better products.
