Job Description

As a Vein Center Ultrasonographer, you will work closely with attending physicians and advanced practice providers from both vascular surgery and interventional radiology. You will be primarily responsible for performing chronic venous insufficiency studies. In addition to compiling and preparing the preliminary report prior to the final reading MD signature. Other responsibilities include but not limited to: caring for and maintains testing equipment; cleaning as required by standards and reporting of malfunctions to appropriate service individuals according to policy. Education and training of, patients and families, physicians, fellows, students, co-workers and new employees in the practice of vascular/vein technology and interpretation of vascular study. 

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification.
  • Diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited medical sonography program.
  • Zero (0) to two (2) years experience in a relevant role.
  • Technical competency in relevant specialty.

Preferred:

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree.
  • Three or more years experience.
  • Additional certification relevant to specialty area.
