Our client, Milton Harward, is seeking two skilled and experienced Carpenters to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity (from mid January). With over 30 years of experience in residential & commercial construction and forestry and walkways projects, their values are formed around communication, expertise and safety first.

This is an ideal role for anyone who enjoys working on commercial projects. The role will be primarily responsible for working on a long-term multinational project; however, there will be some residential projects required. The position will be 45 hours per week (7 am – 5.30 pm); however, Milton Harward value flexibility and are happy to accommodate things that are important to you (e.g. sports, family commitments).

This commercial project has successfully completed the outside of the building (front to back), and now it's time to do the same on the inside, through Labs, Offices, etc. You will be working on demolition, walls, scotia, skirtings and suspended ceilings.

Are you the person that we are looking for? In addition to an enjoyment of the above work, you will be a skilled Carpenter with previous experience in the Construction industry and require minimal supervision and instruction.

You will have Level 4 Certification or have completed your apprenticeship. You will have your own hand tools, have an exceptional commitment to health and safety, and be physically fit and healthy. You will also need to be double vaccinated for COVID-19.

You will also be prepared to travel out of Auckland as required.

Ideally, you would have experience with the following:

• Setting out of building profiles
• Digging foundations
• Installing reinforcing steel
• Laying concrete
• Installing piling for foundations, bearers for flooring, wood flooring, exterior and interior framework, insulation, building paper, roof framing ready for roof installation, windows, doors and finishings
• Painting, interior, exterior
