Job Description

As a Mechanical Design Engineer in our diverse, capable and humorous team, you will be a part of the technical development of new products and components in the lighting department.

Your main focus will be in the area Mechanical/Electrical solutions for luminaries. You will actively search information, inspiration and knowledge contributing to sustainable technical development in the areas of Mechanical constructions and LED/low power products.

You will be planning and conducting your own projects and deliver the ready product and component together with the team and suppliers around the world. The products will be a part of our future IKEA lighting products for years to come.

Qualifications

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you likely have a University Degree in Mechanical Engineering. You have an interest in electronics and working experience in a product development environment.

You like to drive innovative projects with a problem-solving approach built on curiosity, having the courage to try new solutions and explore the unknown. You’re a talented communicator, fluent in English, with the capability to build strong relations.

You are passionate about creating the best technical solutions for our customers at the right price with the right quality, beautiful in design and with focus on sustainability.

In this recruitment, we are looking to hire two Mechanical Design Engineers. One contract is permanent and the other is temporary, substituting a colleague on parental leave.
