A Bit About the Role...

The Equity & Communication Director is responsible for leading the long-term brand Equity and executing all communications strategies across packaging, owned, organic and paid media to grow the brand’s awareness and establish Perfect Snacks as the undisputable leader of the fresh snacking movement. This role will be involved with leading the brand strategic planning & communication strategy, executing major campaigns, developing all content for communication (owned, organic and paid) and product launch plans, leading packaging design and managing a team of 4, including in-house creative and designers.

Essential Duties:

  • Strategic Planning: Support SVP in building the 3-year strategic planning process to design an ambitious growth plan. Refine the positioning, tone of voice of the brand to build stronger foundations to break through instore and in communications.
  • Communications: Lead communication strategy that aligns with business plan and innovation launch priorities. Help create strategic briefs for internal and external creative agencies to deliver inspiring, consumer insight led communications across multiple platforms, and manage process through to execution. Execute flawlessly and maximize ROI across all digital platforms of paid, owned and organic digital channels.
  • Insights: On-point for marketing-driven consumer insight studies. Liaison with Insights SVP and Marketing SVP to design studies and extract insights for action.
  • Design:  Lead new visual identity and packaging design development process, including briefing, creative reviews, legal approvals and continuous improvement.
  • Consumer Experiences: Lead and execute strategies to push trial such as couponing or sampling. Constantly learn from the data and monitor to drive the best return on investments.
  • Customer Marketing:  Collaborate with sales team on retailer marketing initiatives.
  • Inspiring Leader: Manage a team of 4 with two direct reports with energy and enthusiasm, coaching talent to develop and grow competencies and capabilities and seek out learning and development opportunities 
  • New Responsibilities: Adapt to shifting organizational priorities by taking ownership of new duties and regularly owning a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset.

Qualifications

Who We Want...

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in brand management roles within CPG. Experience and passion for the Natural Products industry is preferred.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to track trends and develop or seek out innovative ideas.
  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree.  An MBA or equivalent Master’s Degree is strongly preferred
  • Exposure to the creative process that resulted in winning advertising and consumer experience plans
  • Excellent strategic, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including leadership, communication and teamwork
  • Ability to manage and prioritize many projects simultaneously
  • Track record of working effectively with cross-functional team members – Innovation, Insights, Sales, Operations and finance
  • Ability to be entrepreneurial and methodical
  • Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team
  • Collaborative mindset with strength in effectively receiving and communicating feedback
  • Passion for the health and wellness lifestyle space
