We are currently looking for a skilled & passionate Product Manager - Backend (m/f/d) to become part of one of our Tech Teams at ABOUT YOU!

Our Tech Department is the heart of ABOUT YOU, driven by the passion to develop the best infrastructure & applications. As our Product Manager - Backend (m/f/d), you will independently manage one or more circles and projects together with a Lead Developer. You will lead your team, be mainly responsible for its output and act as a role model regarding motivation, drive and focus.

• Building & maintaining a scalable new solution for our Retail and Cloud businesses
• Working in a multi-application & multi-tenant environment with multiple stakeholders, each deeply involved in different facets of our product
• Steering our products in a direction that allows them to be more flexible, open and easy to integrate to support our Cloud Customers.

What you will do 

• Manage independently at least one circle or project and mainly take responsibility for your team’s output
• Build on your technical know-how to support the integration process of service providers and consumers from specification and API definition to QA and release
• Take hands-on responsibility by supporting your Product Lead and Tech Lead in regards to project management tasks
• Management of and communication with all relevant stakeholders
• Triaging operative issues, identifying technical dependencies and evaluating business impact
• Act as a role model for your team, keep spirits high and bring drive into your project topic
• Work in an international environment with flat hierarchies and short decision-making processes

Who you are

• Deep understanding of technology and eCommerce, business processes and functional dependencies 
• At least 3 years of experience in IT product management or IT project management, ideally with direct product ownership
• You have excellent communication skills and can easily put yourself in someone else’s perspective
• You are analytical, data-driven and focus on efficiency and solutions
• Practical and recent experience working with API Design and databases
• You have a proactive attitude, want to take responsibility for your decisions and go the extra mile when needed
• You are comfortable working in an international working environment

• Experience with SaaS solutions 
• Practical programming experiences 
• Experience with MySQL & REST API
