Job Description
Receipt and validation of job tickets and materials from collation, press and inventory
Sign off of material control documents and verification on raw materials received as per job ticket
Storage of received material in a clean and dry environment
Storage of gloss, matt or any other production plate in a clean and dry environment, ensuring no scratches come to the surface of the plate.
Maintenance of dummy sheets sheets, stored by thickness in a neat and tidy way to fill in plates when plates are not in use
Operation and 1st level maintenance of all lamination equipment
Production in a timely fashion ensuring high quality
Responsible for documenting and updating production status documents and updating the central server with such
Recording all downtime experienced in the unit
Recording and escalation of any defect, rejects, errors etc experienced during a shift
Responsible for daily cleaning of lamination equipment
Provide weekly reports on all Activities, Issues and Outlook in addition to daily job cards
Liaise with Collation, Punching units and Press Operators to ensure efficient sheet processing within production
Recommend initiatives, policies to reduce waste, increase performance etc to production management for consideration
Responsible for ensuring that damaged sheets are destroyed in accordance with approved guidelines.
To exercise overall responsibilities for safety and security within the press area.
Ensure adherence to PCIDSS and GSMA standards in carrying out daily operations
Responsible for all infrastructures within unit. Required to provide support on cost reduction, innovation and general efficiency increase initiatives and policies within unit
Qualifications
Production Engineering, BEng Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, HND in printing technology
3 years’ experience in an offset printing position with experience of operating a Heidelberg printing machine.
Experience in security printing of any kind

- Responsible for laminating collated and uncollated sheets on all required substrates to produce world class lamination with best in industry quality at the lowest production cost and minimal downtime
