Job Description

As a Co-Founders of a new venture at NBV Ventures, you will be responsible for setting up all operations, building the team, developing the business activities and gaining market leadership.

You will be building the bones of our company and making decisions that will control the trajectory of the company from day 1. Some of the things you'll be doing:

  • Execute: own end-to-end responsibility for launching your company's product, shaping the brand and delivering on key milestones.
  • Scale: find new new and innovative ways to scale your company.
  • Process & innovation: deploy repeatable processes that allow your operations to gain stability and grow, while constantly iterating and improving those processes and supporting systems.
  • Budgeting & revenue: oversee monthly P&L of your business and be an active part of driving sales (whether from digital or direct sales).
  • Consumer experience: develop and own the consumer experience, creating systems and processes to capture and address feedback/issues in a timely manner.
  • Team: build, lead and develop a best-in-class team across all functions such as product, sales/growth and operations.
  • Fundraising & investors: participate in all aspects of fundraising and manage investor needs/wants.

 

Each venture is typically led by 2 to 3 Co-Founders - all fully responsible for their business and with personal stakes in their venture’s equity.

Qualifications

Successful founders, they tend to be:

  • Self-Starters: they're doers who loves rolling up sleeves and solving challenges.
  • Scrappy: they're no stranger to ambiguity and often find workarounds when there is no work around.
  • Thoughtful: they balance well between taking time to structure thoughts and going all in on execution to "get stuff done".
  • Have Digital/Ecomm Experience: usually 3+ years of success within digital businesses or ecommerce
  • Prior Experience: they're worked in Business Operations and/or been a General Manager or higher at a fast growing company.

 

On top of that, you should be:

  • Insanely driven
  • Lover of challenges and solving problems
  • A learner, not a knower
  • A former student from an outstanding degree / MBA at a top university
  • Strong at structuring problems and using analytical skills to set up efficient business process and manage P&L
  • Geographically mobile and able to travel (a lot)

 

Having exposure to consulting, investment banking, venture capital or private equity is not a must, but definitely a plus.
