Job Description

What will you be doing?

The BDM for Merchant Acquiring plays a valuable part in unlocking growth and building Acquiring’s client portfolio by navigating through small, mid-size and enterprise level companies and engage with C-suite executives and business line owners. You understand your clients' business objectives and closely align your offering to those to create a solution your clients can't live without. Importantly, the role will focus on all aspects of the sales process from prospecting, through full discovery stage and ensure a long-standing business partnership where value delivered to the client translates into maximized long term value for Novatti. Further, you will contribute to the launch of the end-to-end merchant acquiring solution and digital payment platform. Both are ground-breaking and industry-disrupting products set to make significant industry impacts. In this role you will:

  • Use consultative selling techniques to build and win relationships.
  • Be responsible for your own outcomes (in particular, the achievement of your annual sales target).
  • Prospect and manage your pipeline in the manner you see as being most effective.
  • Source your own leads and create your own opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team for demand generation. 
  • Move prospect clients through the sales process to close.
  • Work closely with both the sales support, tech and client delivery teams to onboard new clients.

Qualifications

What would make you a good candidate?

  • Experience working within a solution-based sales role, selling in a B2B environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a merchant & acquiring role.
  • Experience in introducing and onboarding new customers and building successful relationships.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and close deals through a win/win outcome.
  • Strong desire to succeed, and able to motivate.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all types of people and build and maintain successful relationships with key business contacts.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience in using CRM systems like Pipedrive or Salesforce.
