Job Description

Take everything you know about the typical accounting firm and throw it out the window! We are not your typical accounting firm! If you are a positive, influential leader, who enjoys the challenge of helping small business owners achieve their business and personal goals, keep reading! 

Our Account Manager will excel in a fast-paced environment in which there is continuous improvement, researching, applying and sharing information.  The Manager prepares and reviews personal, corporate, and partnership tax returns.  The Manager will manage client relationships and engagements, research complex tax compliance matters, review financial statements, prepare and review tax projections, and respond to various taxing authorities.  Since the Manager is the lead on client relationships and engagements, he/she needs to be able to manage and work with both the Assistant Managers and Bookkeepers to ensure everyone involved is following firm policies and procedures and informed of the expectations for each engagement.  The Manager also needs to work with payroll, financial services, and IT to ensure all of the clients’ needs are met.  We recognize superior technical skills, superior soft skills, confidence, and the desire to earn respect through actions help build good rapport with clients as well as co-workers, which is essential for the Manager.  In this position, a successful candidate will also be able to lead internal and external presentations on varied subjects.  A Manager will have proficiency in many software programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, and our suite of tax programs.  Time pressures and deadlines must be managed efficiently in order to be sucessful in achieving firm goals. During these pressures, a sucessful manager will remain enthusiastic, positive, organized, professional, and will hold true to the firm’s vision and values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or EA certification or willingness to obtain 
  • 1-3 years experience required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
