Our Supplying system landscape is grouped into different Development Areas and today the Development Area Execution supports more than 15 000 users throughout Supply in the areas of Develop Optimal Replenishment Solutions (DORS), Customs, Delivery & Settlement and Order.

We also provide solutions for the Market Specific Range, which enable IKEA co-workers to order and handle new product requests. Solutions in our portfolio are Order Management System (OMS), Retail Order Information (ROI), Internal Order System (INOS), Market Specific Online (MSO) and Market Specific Range Request (MSRR). Our team is also strongly involved in the Order & Finance Platform (OFP) project with the goal to standardise, simplify, automate and modernise Order and Financial management. The project will put in place a new ‘Digital Core’ for IIG Supply Chain and Wholesale Operations for the years to come.

Job Description

We need reinforcement during approx. 16 months due to a parental leave.

You will be part of the Customs team within Supply Chain Development Execution, which today consists of 18 co-workers. Today’s solutions are a mix of home built and standard solutions. Many of current solutions will be replaced by a standard solution through global customs platform projects.

Customs is a dynamic area with high business impact. IKEA must be compliant with legal restrictions and regulations for goods to flow smoothly across borders keeping our customers all around the world happy.

Customs domain is undertaking a major transformation journey by implementation of a standard solution globally. The transformation journey will take several years to complete.

Customs team within Execution plays an important role for making this happen. They are experts in the systems connected to customs and work with developing new solutions as well as securing the running business.

You will be one of the core competences within Solution Management working close together with Solution Owners, Solution Architects, Test Lead and business stakeholders developing the business solutions.

As Business Analyst will you mainly be:

  • Responsible for clarifying business needs, requirement management and solution evaluation
  • Identify potential improvements: to elicit, analyze, challenge, and document all business needs
  • Setup a business analysis approach and plan, to support the selected business development activities (initiatives and releases)
  • Identify the business consequences and risks with solution alternatives for process, organization, tools and information
  • Assure quality and traceability of stakeholder needs and business requirements, and support the evaluation of solution alternatives
  • Communicate, clarify and safeguard evolving business needs along a project or solution life cycle

Support high level solution design, validation and configuration management

  • Clarify business needs during definition and validation of high level & low level design in cooperation with architects and developers
  • Review test plans and test cases to ensure compliance to the requirement, support the planning and execution of testing activities

Support deployment and running operations

  • Responsible for securing and handing over requirement related artefacts to development and line organization
  • Consulted in the creation of solution documentation and in the creation of the ‘learning offer’ for the solution
  • Support business benefit realization through continuous improvement of solutions and their usage

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of the relevant business context, IKEA strategies, processes and dependencies
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in business analysis and modelling, requirement management and processes
  • Basic knowledge of configuration management and validation, including test methods and tools
  • Understanding of different delivery methods and software lifecycle management
  • Understanding of IKEA application landscape and the technology & architectural aspects of the solutions as well as implemented functionality
  • Up to date with market trends and best practice within Business Analysis
  • Ability to address challenges creatively and pragmatically, working with the big picture and in the small details
  • Analytical ability to elicit, find patterns and identify opportunities in a structured manner
  • Excellent listening skills, able to communicate complex scenarios in a structured and comprehensive way
  • Ability to lead with a business mind-set, interact and communicate with stakeholders confidently and determine what is relevant
  • Ability to plan and facilitate workshops and activities
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
