Welcome to Logistic Systems Product Engineering
You become part of BEUMER Group as you join our Logistics Product Engineering department, leading a team of mechanical specialists. Here, we develop and maintain mechanical products for our sortation solutions within Logistics Systems.

The department consists of 4 teams, each in charge of a part of our product portfolio, and you will run the team that engineers the chutes for our sortation systems for worldwide customers.

Manage your team
As a Team Manager, you hold the daily responsibility for the management of the team. Doing so, you will head 15 engineers and technical designers, taking charge of their development while handling the resource planning and coordination of their tasks. Working closely with your team, you will provide technical guidance and feedback to your employees and discuss possible solutions based on your own mechanical understanding and experience.

Reporting to the Logistic Systems Engineering Director, you will be part of the department’s management team alongside the other Team Managers. In this capacity, you will act as your team’s touch point for the rest of the organisation and interact with other internal departments and teams, other BEUMER Group companies, suppliers and customers. Your tasks include:

  • Supporting our business segments and internal departments
  • Daily dialogue with your team regarding products and ongoing projects as well as team meetings, 1:1 staff meetings, coaching and technical guidance
  • Estimate costs for new product launches and prepare applications for funding by the R&D Board  
  • Process development and optimisation as well as resource planning and monthly reporting
  • Recruitments (assisted by P&C), salary dialogues, personal development dialogues and organisational reviews
  • Development of TOS and SAP with a focus on both development and potential issues
  • Close dialogue with colleagues in Beckum regarding new products/chutes, issues and development of standard chutes for the BEUMER Group Sorter
  • Product training
  • Close dialogue with Sales and Systems on price, functionality and timeline

 
Mechanical engineer with a dedication to leadership  

If you have experience with project management, it will be an asset, however, the true key to your success is based on your great desire to work with people. You are focused on the delivery of high-quality products on tight deadlines. You achieve this through hands-on leadership, where you are always available, taking an interest in your employees and their work, and balance this with a strong overview of projects and deadlines. Therefore, coaching and technical feedback are your highly valued tools, and your great communication skills ensure that you get your messages across. Moreover, you:

  • Have a strong technical background with a degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical design or equivalent
  • Have experience with, and a strong desire for team management – preferably managing product specialists
  • Have an understanding of product development, probably from working at a research and development department, product department or something similar
  • Speak and write Danish as well as English at a high level
