Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Executive with an eye for attention to detail to lead our accounting functions. You'll play an important role in running DOJO's finance operations, where you'll manage our accounting operations to help achieve the company's financial objectives. As we are a growing start-up, you will have the opportunity to take ownership and see direct impact in your day-to-day role.

You will be working closely and reporting to the company's management team. 

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily bookkeeping, data entry, accounts payable and receivables, payroll, end-of-month close and other related duties as assigned
- Manage the company's billing processes to facilitate and ensure timely and smooth financial processes
- Maintain, and review payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions
- Monitoring cashflow with timely bank reconciliation 
- Monitor and highlight the company's performance to the management team
- Ensure timely filing of year-end audits and all tax returns, in addition to coordinating the preparation and review of tax computations, tax returns, worksheets and appendices
- Establish and maintain a record keeping system to document all finance and accounting activities
- Undertake ad-hoc functions, assignments and related duties as assigned by management
- Coordinate with external auditors, statutory bodies, tax agent, company secretary and bankers

This role includes admin support. Areas you will support:
- Manage administrative human resource matters such as maintaining staff records, handling statutory and other administrative matters relating to staff
- Handling of administrative matters which includes liaising with the company secretary for corporate matters, staff hiring/resignation administration, office matters, and external matters such as grant or license application/renewal
- Coordinating and ensuring timely filing of all company secretarial matters and related statutory bodies

Qualifications

Requirements:
- Proven and demonstrated experience in a similar role or background for a minimum of three (3) years
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software (MySQL preferred) and databases
- Candidates who possess audit experience will have an added advantage
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Good English, decent spoken Malay and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
- Possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
