What will you be doing?

As a System Administrator, you have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to handle multiple customer requests, projects, and deadlines while maintaining the ability to handle unexpected situations. Additionally, you will wear many hats and you are able to remove viruses one day, solve complex server problems the next, and present high level IT support to our business unit Emersion and the rest of the organisation. In this role you will:

• Install, configure and maintain software across Microsoft, Salesforce and Atlassian suite of products.
• Manage network servers and technology tools and monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
• Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes.
• Maintain healthy working relationships with multiple employee needs, manage business units expectations, and regularly communicate project status.
• Understand Emersion business units processes and goals and recommend technology solutions to improve those processes or achieve those goals.
• Solve complex technical problems including desktop viruses, software deployments, server and desktop hardware issues and software problems.

What would make you a good candidate?

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role with a Bachelor in Information Technology, Computer Science and a professional certification - Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).
• You have experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
• You have extended knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
• You are familiar with various operating systems and platforms.
• You work resourcefulness and you are able to roll up your sleeves with your problem-solving aptitude.
• You have the ability to create and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• You are motivated by a fast-paced environment where you will have to constantly adapt with a can-do attitude - no two days are the same, seriously!
