We are now looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our team based on-site in our Berwick St Leonard (SP3) location in Wiltshire. 

Whilst this role sits within our Finance team, you do not have to come from a Finance background. We are looking for people who are detail orientated with a strong administrative background where you would have preferably been organising large amounts of data. However, individuals looking to begin their journey within accountancy will also be welcome to apply.

The role of the Pricing Analyst is primarily to maintain customer pricing within SAP and Merlin software for Nectar Imports, from the day-to-day pricing uploads, periodic and ad-hoc maintenance and controls to annual price increases. They will also be responsible for some routine reporting including producing and communicating the daily sales report.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Maintaining customer invoice pricing in SAP/Merlin.  
    • Responsible for maintenance of pricing files and guardrails, liaising with AUK PRGM/Senior Finance Business Partner.
    • Update 3rd Party systems with same Pricing and other relevant information.
    • Maintaining Supplier-funded discounts arranged by Nectars’ Sales Team.
    • Playing a vital part in processing invoices from/to customers and suppliers.
    • Periodic and Ad-hoc maintenance of price lists due to product/customer changes and raising of credits where incorrect prices have been charged.
    • Manage Pricing Board submissions and recording outcomes and actions.
    • Work with the Sales teams and Commercial Finance Analyst to update the price increases in SAP and Merlin.
    • Manage any price adjustments required after a change in alcohol excise/ Sugar Tax rates following the UK government budget.
    • Work closely with the commercial accountants to resolve queries during month end, ensuring the revenue line is accurately reported.
    • Reporting including producing and communicating the Daily Sales, weekly low margin analysis, sales data and month-end reconciliations.
    • During the year Nectar Finance will undertake a number of development or improvement projects. These may be working to improve our analysis, driving development and automation of systems, or representing Nectar in projects run by other functions.

    Qualifications

    • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and close attention to detail.
    • Strong Microsoft office knowledge essential (particularly excel).
    • SAP experience preferable.
    • Prior experience of maintaining pricing, ideally in a dynamic environment such as a consumer goods company would be an advantage.
    • Hands on process optimization experience an advantage.
