We are now looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to join us on a 9 Month Fixed Term Contract. The role of the Accounts Payable Manager is primarily to run the Accounts Payable team, from the day-to-day control of invoices, monthly payment runs to assisting with the month-end financial reporting process. It also includes budgeting, cash forecasting as well as bank reconciliation.

Our Nectar site is based in Hindon, Wiltshire which you will be required to visit at least once per week. We are happy however for people to be based in different locations as long as you are able/willing to commute to site when needed. 

Job Description

  • Approving new vendors and maintaining supplier master data in Merlin with team member
  • Exception handling of non-matched invoices to Purchase Orders in Merlin
  • Handling queries from Vendors regarding payment of invoices and actively working to reduce these queries
  • Approval of multiple payment runs
  • Monthly creditor reconciliations before monthly submission to identify accruals 
  • Monthly reconciliation and posting of company credit card transactions
  • Bank reconciliation
  • All payments including monthly runs to small ad-hoc expenses & refunds
  • Distribution of monthly reporting to budget holders
  • Management of zero-based budgeting reporting
  • Managing the cash forecasting including submission to Asahi International
  • Ensuring a well-controlled custody of cash and expenditure
  • Posting and reconciling monthly accruals & prepayments journals
  • Product reconciliation, ensuring everything posted in the month is balanced including invoices, GRN’s & accruals
  • Close purchase ledger in Merlin
  • Managing intercompany balances and resolving any queries
  • Monitor and maintain non-product purchase orders
  • Managing team of one including completing appraisals

Qualifications

  • Prior Accounts Payable team management experience
  • Accounting experience is highly preferred 
  • Strong Microsoft office knowledge essential (particularly excel)
  • Good knowledge of Banking Environment
  • Must be a self-starter with a solution-driven approac
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and close attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritising tasks to meet key deadlines
