How does it work? We recruit Flink First Talent on a rolling basis at our Berlin HQ. Students need to be available for a minimum of 3 months for a university/graduation requirement or on a non-mandatory basis.

Job Description

Buying & Category Management

  • The consumer landscape is constantly evolving - you get to be the eyes and ears of the market for new trends, brands and products
  • Help out the category management team to analyse our inventory and find the perfect products for our customers
  • You get to learn tricks of the trade from industry experts through negotiations with our current and new suppliers

Finance

  • As we continue to scale at a rapid pace you will gain experience helping to implement finance processes and practices within one of Europe's fastest scaling start-ups. 
  • You will part with senior stakeholders right across the business as a trusted finance advisor. Providing valuable insight into finance data and forecasting that will enable them to make data driven strategic decisions. 
  • We will be seeking additional rounds of funding. This will give you the opportunity to work with investors and senior management on preparing investor decks, assisting with due diligence and giving you unique experience into how financing is done within the German startup ecosystem.

Human Resources

  • Building and scaling teams is a lot of hard work - you need to find the best people in the market who are committed to building the brand, make sure they’re provided with all the resources to set them up for success, then go home to their friends and families raving about Flink. It needs an entire army of people who genuinely care about people
  • With the recruitment team: learn about hiring trends and practices, and make people so excited about Flink, they’d want to join in a snap!
  • With the people operations and experience teams: you get to take part in facilitating onboarding days and making new joiners feel welcome, you get to learn how to conduct and analyze surveys to measure employee satisfaction, even get exposure to labor laws and payroll

Hub Operations

  • We recently hit a milestone: 100+ hubs in 7 months, and more to come as we aggressively expand
  • We need our hubs to be well-oiled machines to pursue our promise of groceries in 10 minutes or less - you get to work alongside launch and city managers as they open and set up new hubs, recruit and build their teams onsite, and work their way towards operational excellence

Marketing

  • Supporting the performance marketing, CRM & offline/local marketing departments in managing and optimizing our marketing campaigns across the European market
  • Develop and carry out creative marketing campaigns from ideation to execution 
  • Deep diving into user data to understand purchasing trends, user trends and insights in order to improve our marketing effectiveness 

Real Estate Expansion

  • Work closely with the management team to analyse potential areas, cities and locations to find the right hub spots and assess them
  • Be the key collaborator with internal and external stakeholders to make sure the ambitious growth plan can be rolled out successfully, e.g. negotiations with landlords
  • Support us in our very ambitious expansion

Rider Operations

  • Riders are at the forefront of our business: Work alongside VP of rider ops to manage our last mile delivery fleet & build the best courier brand in the market
  • Support & manage our rider-related equipment, e.g bikes, backpacks
  • Help to organize and be part of the rider recruiting, management 

Supply Chain & Processes

  • Ensure article availability by managing Flinks logistics network and devising and implementing replenishment strategies
  • Manage all the flow of goods from suppliers to our hubs
  • Support the definition and realization of lean processes within our hubs

Qualifications

  • Voluntary or mandatory internship for min. 3 months
  • Fluent in English (some roles also require German skills)
