No less than best-in-class software products
You will become part of our department Software Products. Here, our mission is to deliver best-in-class software products across BEUMER’s portfolio to help our end customer thrive and capitalise on their intralogistics investments.

Using new technologies and methods, we aim to modernise our software portfolio and continuous delivery maturity over the coming years. You will be part of a small developer team with the responsibility of building, improving and maintaining their own products within a specific product area of our baggage handling system software suite.

“Essentially, our aim is to modernise our software, transforming it from monoliths to microservice architecture, and move the organisation towards cloud-native technologies and methods. You’ll be an important part working on both the process as well as the technical aspects alongside skilled colleagues,” says Kenneth.

Help us integrate new technologies
In your day-to-day work, you will collaborate closely with your team on our ongoing refinement process, automatic test for continuous integration as well as design of interfaces and microservices.

You will have an interesting challenge in helping us integrate the new technologies and designing new capabilities in the system. We specifically work with the following technologies and tools:

• Java, C#
• Git/GitLab
• Microservice architecture
• Docker containerisation
• Container-orchestration technologies (Kubernetes)
• API development, design and documentation

Take an explorative approach to new technologies
We are looking for a colleague who stays updated on the latest technologies. We favour an Envision-Explore mindset over Plan-Do and want to make use of proof of concepts in our way of working. That also means you should not be afraid to step up, take responsibility and lead the way when it comes to trying something new. Moreover, we imagine that you:

• Have a some experience with docker containerisation and microservices
• Have worked with Java and C#
• May have experience with refactoring to increase testability and automatic testing
• May have practical knowledge of breaking down a monolith to microservices and have been on a similar journey before
• May have some cloud experience
• Have good insight into CI/CD
• Are fluent in English
