Job Description

In the job you will play a central role in the Danish Marketing team and you will become part of the Nordic marketing department, which also consists of a Nordic category team and digital team.

As a segment marketing specialist with Jacobs Douwe Egberts, your primary task lies in the ownership of the development and execution of the local customer segment and portfolio strategies, and the implementation of segment specific propositions. As such, the role is responsible for developing segment specific propositions, that perfectly fit the need driven by the need of our customers, and develop and deliver proposition- and segment activations contributing to growing our sales and market share.

Additionally, you will be the main stakeholder for the sales teams, when preparing either tender presentation or customer propositions, ensuring the marketing knowledge of customer need is integrated in the sales strategy.

As the interface is extensive, especially internally but also externally toward partners, and you will become part of a skilled, ambitious and passionate marketing team.

What is part of your role;

  • Development of segment strategy based on trends, market development, consumer-, customer- and competitor insights
  • Execute local concept- and segment activations in close cooperation with sales
  • Creation and implementation of sales supportive tools.
  • Develop and execute relationship management activities in close cooperation with sales to build and maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Responsible for acquiring and validating leads through Best-in-class lead generation.
  • Activation of product- and concept introductions the different segments
  • Development of customer and end-user communication for the use across off- and online touchpoints
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, industry standards and competitors.
  • Internal reporting of developments, trends and needs for the different segments.

For this role as a Segment Marketing Specialist, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • least 3 years in a similar commercially driven marketing position, and possess a relevant education e.g. HD, Master or Cand. Merc.
  • Solid business acumen and analytical skills
  • Experience from lead generation and the customer journey, and the desire to take this to a higher level
  • In depth hands-on experience from building engaging communication driving short and long term profitable growth, - preferable from B2B.
  • Expert level in MS Office and especially within Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record in project management, execution through sales department, and development of marketing activation driving commercial growth
  • Good communications skills and personal drive to lead activities involving multiple functions at managerial level
  • Committed, outgoing, strong interpersonal skills, work disciplined and independently and enjoy working in teams.  
  • Experience with Sales Force, CRM or business intelligence will be an advantage as well a natural interest in Coffee
