We are seeking a passionate DBA to join our growing team of data professionals. You will be interacting primarily with our internal team, to ensure data performance throughout the product lifecycle

Responsibilities and Duties

·        Azure SQL database design

·        Azure SQL database performance tuning

·        Scalability analysis

·        Continuous monitoring

·        Write and troubleshoot complex stored procedures

·        Develop innovation, strategies, processes, and best practices

·        Work closely with programming staff on database design changes to meet business requirements

·        Track non-traditional data storage technologies, so that you can suggest/implement those based on business requirements

·        Work with a team to plan an eventual move from Azure SQL to self-hosted regionally redundant databases, as we scale up.

·        Knowledge of advanced performance techniques, such as column store indexes, memory optimized tables, strategic denormalization, tuning of index padding, and other techniques as they emerge.

·        Manage design and execution of maintenance plans

·        Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science.

·        Experience with management of MySQL Server, and Azure SQL

·        Certifications in MSFT Database technologies a plus.

·        Excellent problem-solving skills.  Should be able to isolate and resolve issues in real time.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills, maintaining a positive collaboration culture with the team.

·        Organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once

·        Should be skilled at developing more efficient processes, automate recurring tasks, etc.

·        Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
