Job Description

IT employee Technical Support (M/F/D) is responsible for delivering excellent end-user support on the Business Service, IFS Workspace globally. This service includes support/installation of all the IT equipment and IT systems that an end-user needs to perform their role. Support is provided remotely using dedicated remote assistance tools and processes.

Support for other IT equipment across multiple IFS offices may also be required.

  • Provide remote support for IFS client computers and mobile devices worldwide
  • Provide support for all office IT Equipment (e.g. network equipment, Teams conference rooms, printers, projectors, screens)
  • Diagnose faults, solve technical problems, and provide training
  • Provide remote help installing and configuring client computer standard software
  • Support deployment of new applications and services
  • Support deployment of software updates to keep IFS infrastructure secure and compliant
  • Maintain high level of Information Security for hardware, files, and users together with IFS SOC. Training and educating users for Information Security
  • Provide support documentation for end user self-service
  • Provide exceptional customer service in person, via phone, Teams, or email, and through incident and request tickets, as appropriate.
  • Occasional travelling in Europe might be required to provide IT Support
  • Take ownership of all assigned tickets, seeing them through to conclusion in line with agreed SLAs
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged and documented
  • Germany and Erlangen is one distribution point for IT hardware and these shipments must be sent and received across Europe.

Qualifications

Essentials:

  • At least 2 years' experience in Client/Desktop IT Support roles
  • Fluency in English and local language (written and verbal)
  • Capability to travel in Europe to provide onsite IT support

Desired:

  • Experience in a global remote IT support role
  • Customer service mindset, always willing to help and make sure problems are solved
  • Strong technical skills (Windows, network, hardware)
