Job Description

Position Summary
The Communications Strategy team at POD is responsible for ensuring that creative campaign ideas are brought to market in a strategic, consumer-centric manner that delivers on our clients’ goals and KPIs. We are the bridge between creative, consumer, and media, actively working to make sure that any work we put into the world is saying the right things, to the right people, at the right times.

The Communication Strategy Intern would be tasked with helping to shape comms plans for various POD clients, including using tools & data to develop consumer insights, helping to develop channel & media strategies, and overall go-to-market recommendations to help drive brand growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Consumer Insight Development - Working within POD’s tools & databases to help identify & understand different target audiences for given clients/verticals
  • Platform POVs - Keeping your finger on the pulse of new & emerging media platforms and technologies that might be relevant to a given target audience
  • Competitive/Category Analysis - Maintaining a view into what other brands are doing within relevant categories
  • Help inform go-to-market strategies based on clients’ goals, budgets and creative idea
  • Function as the day-to-day contact for your brands when they are looking for answers to any campaign execution or performance questions, partnership direction, POVs and project updates as requested
  • Work collaboratively with media agencies and brand strategists to create briefs, brainstorm on new projects, and act as a partner that brings more comms/media thinking to every opportunity presented
  • Determine KPIs and measurement action plans to track and improve campaign effectiveness and overall success
  • Day-to-day tactical responsibilities, including maintaining project timelines, handling media billing/invoicing as needed, and managing vendor relationships

Additional Information

Internship applications will be accepted through April 30, 2021. Internships will take place for 8 weeks from June to July, 2021.
