This position is responsible to enforce local and state ordinances concerning the care, use, and treatement selling, licensing and impounding of animals.

Conducts investigations and inspections

Issues warnings

Responds to injured animal calls

Prepares reports of daily activities

Educates the public about relevant animal regulations and humane animal care

Collaborates with local law enforcement to address issues which may require prosecution or legal intervention

Works in the shelter to support animal care functions

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver's license

Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Capable of lifting weight in excess of 50 pounds

Additional Information

19-27 hours per week (part time) 

Flexible work schedule including on call weekend, evening and holidays.

$12.50-$14.50 an hour based on experience
