Our Marketing Intelligence and Technology Team is responsible for the management of

various Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services like Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, etc. As a (Senior) Cloud DevOps and Infrastructure Engineer for our GCP setup you are responsible to ensure the uptime of our infrastructure and strive to constantly optimize our underlying processes through automation, guidelines and best practices.

What you will do

• Challenge existing workflows and suggest / implement improvements
• Provide guidelines and best practices for our infrastructure setup, e.g naming conventions, permission management, resource labeling, cost optimization
• Create transparent and reproducible infrastructure-as-code (IAC) templates to maintain our GCP services in Terraform and Docker
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions
• Act as GCP expert for in-depth questions regarding all things GCP
• Conceptualize and support domain specific solutions for our teams, e.g. set up a cloud composer infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines and workflows

Who you are

• At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps or DevOps related roles
• Deep knowledge of the components and services of Google Cloud Platform 
• Experience with Terraform and related technologies like Terragrunt and Terratest
• Good knowledge of network administration (Firewalls, VPC Peering) would be a bonus
• Experience in maintaining Unix server infrastructures
• Experience with container technologies (docker, docker-compose)
• Ownership mindset and a constant motivation to optimize and automate your processes
• Open minded and curious to learn about domain specific problems 
• Fluent in English both spoken and written

Nice to have’s

• Familiarity with Kubernetes or other orchestration solutions
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (mainly Gitlab)
