ExB Group is a technology company in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Our vision is to teach machines to understand and process natural language.

Our goal is to create the ultimate “Verstehmaschine“: a cognitive system that sets new standards in machine learning and opens up new perspectives for many industries in automated knowledge and document processing (IDP). It is already used by top companies to automate all workflows that involve unstructured data.

ExB’s infrastructure team manages the heterogeneous server landscape on-premises and in the cloud (local data center & AWS). Together with us, you are responsible for guaranteeing the availability of our containerized service landscape. We work with current technologies such as Terraform, AWS EKS, or Kubernetes. We see ourselves as an interface between hardware and our Scrum teams and act across groups.

Within the infrastructure team, you will work with experienced and motivated colleagues. We work in close cooperation, open and direct communication, and are in a good mood.

Your responsibilities

• Automate deployments
• Add sufficient monitoring to our production services
• Integration planning into various cloud providers for customer projects
• Manage deployment of our platform services in those environments
• Plan, create, and run infrastructure acceptance tests
• Build and deploy tools to support monitoring and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure
• Cooperate and communicate with the team that is building the platform

• EU work permit or EU citizenship and permanent residence in the EU
• Professional experience with AWS and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of infrastructure tools like Terraform or NixOps
• Strong skills deploying services in cloud providers such as AWS
• Knowledge of service models such as PaaS, IaaS, and CaaS in cloud computing and their individual usage scenarios
• Basic knowledge of Docker and Docker compose
• Willing to take on-call duty (may be needed in the future)
• You are in good and clear command of English

Desirable, but optional qualifications

• Experience using deployment automation tools such as Ansible or Chef
• Knowledge of cloud storage technologies such as Ceph, Software-Defined Storage (SDS)
• Experience with non-relational databases such as Apache Cassandra
• Experience in administrating the Atlassian Stack
