• Holistic Performance Engineering – including benchmarking, cluster setup, JVM settings, data modelling, queries, etc.
• Championing best practices around the use of Elasticsearch
• Keeping our Elasticsearch estate at the cutting edge.
• Data Migration.

• In-depth knowledge of Painless scripting
• Thorough understanding of data modelling
• Experience in setting up ECE and ECK.
• Demonstrable and high-level experience writing advanced queries in Elasticsearch
• Expertise in Elasticsearch text analysis and searching
• Experience working with Terra-bytes or Peta-bytes of entity-based data indices as opposed to “logging” data.
• Software development experience with Java or Python
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing requirements
• Experience with code versioning (Git) and CI/CD (Jenkins, Circle, etc...) tools
• Experience working with and/or building REST APIs is a plus
• Strong sense of ownership
• Desire to learn and grow
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
