Job Description

Position Purpose

LaneTerralever is currently seeking a User Experience Architect to join our amazing team focusing on web and mobile applications. This candidate will have a keen understanding of client goals and user needs to effectively craft designs that drive business results. They should also have experience in light front-end development (XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery) for rapid prototyping development, an understanding of visual design (illustrations, icons, compelling visual elements, etc.) and be able to present your work to a wide variety of clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interaction design (IxD) Ideation, site maps, wireframes, content templates, user flows, prototypes and user testing
  • Visual design Creating layouts and hierarchy, illustrations and compelling visual design elements
  • Psychology Persuasion triggers, empathy mapping, journey mapping
  • Design strategy Conducting user research, user interviews and creating user stories
  • Presence Working directly with clients and team leads on projects
  • Analytics Working knowledge of Google Analytics, SEMrush and other like analysis tools
  • Communication Writing client emails, building and presenting keynote presentations/recommendations
  • Client relationship Hopping on client calls and being comfortable with explaining your design decisions
  • Work sessions Holding work sessions on-site and off
  • Collaboration with team members and boarder teams in white boarding sessions and/or deliverable reviews

Qualifications

  • Strong background in user interaction, psychology and visual design
  • Three or more years of experience working directly with clients
  • Ability to clearly communicate both in person and on paper
  • Proficiency in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other common design tools
  • Comfortable presenting work before clients and receiving critical feedback
  • The initiative and efficiency to produce deliverables in a timely manner
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to help others and coach them through design problems
  • Working knowledge of front-end development such as HTML/CSS a plus
  • Experience with Bootstrap, Foundation, JavaScript, jQuery and Sass a plus
  • Driven to accept responsibility and accountability for work while seeking opportunities for additional challenges and growth
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding, fast-paced, creative environment
  • Passionate interest in marketing, strong understanding of the industry
