Hurtt Fabricating has an exciting new career opportunity and is accepting applications and resumes for drafter position(s). We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated, have a strong work ethic, and enjoy working in a hands-on, team environment. 

The drafter:

• Creates visual guidelines for construction purposes

• Works from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects, and drafts technical details, including dimensions, materials, and procedures

• Draws in minute details of structures

• Uses Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings

• Programs drawings into automated manufacturing systems

• Prepares engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications

• Works under the supervision of drafting supervisor, drafting lead and engineers or architects

• Follows standardized work and adheres to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment

• Communicates with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials

•  

Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Applicants must be dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented.
