Job Description

The purpose of this role is to support the Financial Operations team by using critical thinking and analytical skills, as well as a thorough understanding of the Paradigm Recordkeeping System and 401(K) industry regulations.  Using your extremely detail oriented personality, you will reconcile accounts and reports to ensure data accuracy, support 5500 audits, internal audits, and client inquiries. You will champion for our internal and external clients and ensure that any escalations are resolved quickly and correctly.

Core Responsibilities

  • Matrix Invoice Recon Reconciliation
  • Matrix Omnibus Account Reconciliation
  • Assist with Compliance Related Reconciliations
  • Backup Transactions and Payroll Adjustments
  • Backup Fund List/Model Changes
  • Backup Processing Fund Corporate Actions
  • Responding timely and accurately to Sales Force Tickets and internal written and verbal requests
  • Additional cross training and support tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Competencies

401(K) knowledge - Working knowledge of 401K rules and regulations

Organization - Capable of successfully managing multiple projects of varying importance simultaneously

Critical thinking - Ability to look at situations from multiple perspectives. Breaks problems into component parts. Considers and organizes parts in a systematic way. Looks for underlying causes.

Results Oriented - Proactive and Result driven, able to identify what steps are necessary to reach a result and willing to practice good follow through to achieve solutions.

Attention to Detail - Thoroughness in accomplishing a task with concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small. Checks work and organizes time and resources efficiently.


Skills + Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in the retirement industry
  • Intermediate accounting reconciliation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to diagnose problems
  • Ability to flex between work autonomously and as a group member
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Excellent follow through and communication skills
  • Experience with custodial account reconciliation preferred
  • Intermediate excel knowledge – need to be extremely comfortable creating pivot tables and using the following tools in excel:
    • Accounting formulas: Add, subtract, multiple divide, Sum if*
    • Remove duplicates
    • Data Validations
    • V Look ups
