AUTO1's Android engineering team develops tools that disrupt the automotive industry. You will build and own our apps, maintaining high quality and ensuring we deliver the best product to our clients. As a leader of a diverse team you will drive new solutions to our technical and business challenges.

Your new role

• Architect, develop, QA, ship, monitor and maintain native Android applications

• Be an authority on all things Android

• Hire world-class talent, lead by example and mentor those around you to push boundaries and excel 

• Raise the bar and drive technological innovations in the Android space to keep AUTO1 at the cutting edge

• Write high-quality code with unit, integration and end-to-end tests

Your skills

• 3+ years of experience with Android development, and 1+ year of experience as a lead developer

• Deep understanding of Java (Collections, Concurrency) and Android SDK (Components, Patterns, Architecture, Versions difference)

• Experience with 3rd party libraries like Retrofit, Picasso, EventBus, Gradle build system, client-server communication (REST, HTTP, HTTPS) and design patterns

• Familiarity with Material design such as UX patterns, components and libraries

• Lead by example, understand your team and mentor others to reach their full potential
