We are looking for a highly motivated intern with cryoEM experience to join the structural biology group to enable our newly built cryoEM facility at Biogen. The successful candidate will be part of a fast-paced and innovative community. The primary role of the candidate is to prepare cryo-EM grids (freezing samples, clipping grids), assisting with data collection and solving structures of small-molecule bound protein complexes. The candidate should have some hands-on experience with collecting with SerialEM and processing using Relion, cisTEM etc.

The candidate will also help with on-going efforts to automate and standardize workflow for the collection/pre-processing steps by working with Biogen IT. Programming in Python and other languages is a plus. 

To participate in the Biogen Co-op Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria: 

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. 
• Grade point average of 3.2 or higher preferred 
• At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date 
• Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
