Job Description

Beacon Services of Connecticut is currently seeking a Behavior Therapist for our Public School Division who will be responsible for the implementation of teaching and behavioral plans and programs developed by the BCBAs in schools. 

Responsibilities will include working one-on-one with children to help improve social, language and academic skills as well as implementing all teaching and behavioral protocols, providing continuity of programming in individual instruction and in the regular education classroom, and recording and summarizing all educational and behavioral data.  

The Behavior Therapist is assigned to a student for up to 184 school days and for the entire school day (including student arrival and departure).

Earn your Master's in Education with a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorders and pursue your BCBA certification through the Cambridge College program!  We provide tuition support!  

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Education, Psychology, human services or related field
  • Experience utilizing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) a plus
  • Must have personal vehicle to travel
