The NU campus is located in Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan, in the heart of the new and ultra-modern Left-Bank region of the city. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the School of Engineering and Digital Sciences (seng.nu.edu.kz) invites applications for an Assistant or an Associate professor positions to begin from August 2020. Preferred candidates should have sufficient research and teaching experience/background or strong willingness for self-development to teaching a number of related electrical and computer engineering courses from the following areas: electric/electronics circuit analysis and design, linear control theory, digital circuit design with FPGA, microprocessor and embedded systems, hardware/software co-design, electric machines and drives, electric power systems, etc.

We seek candidates with a commitment to excellence in both research and teaching. Applicants should have been awarded a PhD or equivalent degree from a reputable university, and are expected to have in top ranked journals/conferences in the areas of their expertise. The successful candidate should have research leadership capabilities and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills. Only active researchers with a growing scientific profile will be considered; experience in industry and the alignment with thematic areas of the department would be favorably considered. Applicants to the Associate Professor position should have been previously appointed as assistant professors or equivalent in a reputable university and demonstrate substantial publication record in high-impact factor journals.
