Overview

Assist the Director in drafting and executing annual plans  Support the work of the marketing department by ensuring all materials adhere to brand standards Ensure that all communications are written in the appropriate tone and style for the audience Work with the Copyeditor to ensure that all materials are accurate and updated as needed   Provide input on marketing and communications strategy, as needed Share ideas and suggestions on the overall themes and content of publications and materials 
 
Brand Management

Oversee marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with brand’s direction, choices and tactics Analyze how our brand is positioned in the market and crystallize targeted consumers insights Take brand ownership and provide the vision, mission, goals and strategies to establish us as a true innovator and thought leader in our industry Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies Lead creative development and create motivating stimulus to get targeted population to “take action” Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues 
 
PR Management

Developing and maintaining PR strategy with media representatives and partner organizations Monitoring press stories relating to the company and its brand and maximizing opportunities for positive PR and playing down any negative PR Manage enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations Organize event including press conferences Manage the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation Measure and provide reports on each PR activities Handle crisis and emergency communications 
 
Communication Management

 Collaborate with designers, web developers and marketing communications professionals to create communications materials Ensure all content projects are aligned with their corresponding corporate strategy Collaborate with the Associate Director Marketing and Communications to lead the company’s corporate social media and content calendars  Revise, edit, and proofread content and other communications from marketing team members, other departments and outside organizations, as neededAnalysis and measure the effectiveness of communications/channels and providing direction on optimizations for existing and future campaigns 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or marketing
  • Past Working experience:  Minimum 7 years experience in the communications field 
  • A strong command in written and spoken English is a must and Mandarin will be an added advantage 
  • A “customer first” mindset to think, feel and act like a member of our audience and community 
  • An excellent understanding of the media on a national and regional level 
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of channel diversity knowledge and what best strategy can be deployed in different scenarios 
  • A passion for leveraging analytics and metrics to drive marketing effectiveness 
  • A good list of established media and PR contacts  
  • Expertise on all matters relating to marketing, public relations and communications 
  • Excellent advisory skills and confidence giving advice and information to senior managers 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good team working abilities to motivate other members of the team 
  • Storytelling ability to engage with our audience and community 
  • Strong strategic and creative thinker with the ability to develop communications strategies and translate into creative executions 
  • A strong knowledge of our industry and the type of work we do 
  • A good knowledge of web and print-based marketing material 
  • A committed and flexible approach to the job  
  • The ability to think spontaneously and respond positively to pressure 
  • Worked within a busy communications environment, in a PR, media relations or journalistic capacity is an advantage
