Daayitwa is a campaign for economic empowerment with the vision of an enterprising Nepal where every youth has opportunities for a prosperous future.  It operates three clusters at grassroots, government and global levels.  It supports rural growth-oriented entrepreneurs to accelerate their innovations and grow other entrepreneurs in their local communities.  Leveraging the grassroots learning, it collaborates with the government to conduct policy research and advocate for economic policy reform.  Finally, it transforms these interventions into a global campaign that nurtures enterprising mindset in Nepalis by bolstering leadership capacity in enterprise ecosystem stakeholders.

 

 

Job Description

Position Title: Web Content Intern
No. of Vacancy: 1
Based: Kathmandu
Contract period: 3 months
Weekly Hours: 42 Hours (Full-time)

The Web Content intern is responsible for providing critical support and leadership in organizing content, designing, and maintaining the websites for Daayitwa and the Nepal Leadership Academy. The person will work directly with the various constituents at Daayitwa to organize, manage, and maintain the websites. The Intern receives supervision from the Program Director, Nepal Leadership Academy. 

  • Source contents (write-ups, stories, etc) from the different clusters and maintain the organizations’ website needs. 
  • Participates in the technical design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of website enhancements.
  • Other duties as assigned. Key is a growth mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline from an accredited academic institution with two years of experience
  • Should be a savvy user of various social media platforms
  • Proficient in programming languages such as CSS, HTML, Wordpress etc.
  • Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Self-starter and team-player with enthusiasm for continuous learning and sharing
  • 1 year of work experience
