Job Description

Alcoa USA Corp. Massena Operations is a major primary aluminum and aluminum ingot/billet casting facility located in Massena, New York.

We are currently seeking Journeyperson electricians for openings in the Smelting Maintenance Department. 

At Alcoa, Maintenance electricians install, adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery and plant equipment such as, power distribution, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, dust collection systems, conveyor systems, blowers, pumps, fans, air compressors and cranes, along with work on various types of production equipment including aluminum reduction cells and furnaces.

Proven electrical ability involving power distribution, lighting, machinery repair, PLC’s, motor controls, VFD’s, controls for hydraulic and pneumatic systems is required of all successful applicants.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants must:

1. Possess a high school degree or GED

2. Be willing to work any shift, including rotating shifts/weekends

3. Possess an excellent work history, preferably in a manufacturing environment

4. Be able to show proof of electrical journeyperson status. Please submit proof with your resume.

5. Pass an entry-level exam as part of the hiring process.
