Our client is a world leader in ground engineering and they are looking for a Regional Procurement Director. 

For this key position, we are looking for an experienced professional with a strategic vision and an international background.

This role is based in Singapore, covering APAC.

Reports to the Group Finance Director.

Purpose of the role:

• Head the procurement function across the Asia Pacific region to deliver best practice strategic sourcing and compliance management.
• Optimise quality, cost and service levels from suppliers to the Company.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Develop, lead and execute procurement strategies & processes for the Company Asia Pacific Group of Companies
• In conjunction with SMEs and internal experts negotiate procurement arrangements and close deals with optimal terms
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
• Develop procurement compliance processes, systems and reports for the Asia region
• Monitor procurement performance across the region
• Develop and mentor procurement staff across the region
• Liaise with the Global Head of Procurement on group-wide initiatives
• Manage existing procurement arrangements and use this to develop future opportunities
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
• Assess, manage and mitigate risks
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand across the Group and adjust contracts

• 10+ years senior procurement management experience in a mid-large company covering multiple jurisdictions/countries
• Proven experience developing procurement processes
• Familiarity with sourcing & vendor management
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
• Strong negotiation skills
• Project management skills
• Influencing and change skills
