Job Description

Job Summary

Work as part of the GATR engineering team as the network architect and engineer lead for multiple programs of record. The position requires someone capable of managing network activities on assigned projects to meet program timelines; design and/or collaborate for the proper configuration of expeditionary network configurations for US Government and international organizations; oversee network security for program network solutions, and ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between multiple engineering disciplines and other entities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the network architect for all programs within GATR Technologies
  • Establish network and software configurations to meet requirements for government programs of record related to expeditionary systems
  • Ensure network security requirements are documented in accordance with US Government guidelines
  • Interface with network hardware and software providers to ensure network and systems configurations meet program requirements
  • Define, document, and enforce system requirements
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Aid in concept development and proposal writing

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • CCNA required; CCIE preferred
  • CISSP required
  • Meets DOD Directive 8570.1 requirements
  • Familiarity with computer languages such as C, Java, and Python
  • Full command of Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Capable of interacting with program managers, division managers, senior managers, and other key functional/support organizations
  • Strong writing and visual presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills and the ability to balance and prioritize work
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

Credentials and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or technical field and at least 8 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • US Citizenship required
  • Capable of holding a security clearance
