Job Description

You will lead different purchasing matrixes that are placed in different purchasing and logistics offices in the world, meaning that you have an indirect leadership responsibility for Purchasing/Category co-workers.

You will be a coach and a support to our Category Managers and Purchasing co-workers.
You will lead the competence development agenda on a global basis and secure that we have really good introduction packages, development/education packages and a Competence review that finds potentials areas that needs future development or candidates that can support projects on a global basis.


As Purchasing Process Developer at IKEA Components, your main responsibility is to develop one or more business processes, together with the Process Development Manager and Process Leaders in IKEA, in order to secure better ways of working across the business.

Your responsibilities will be within the areas of:
- Category Management
- Supplier Management
- Quotation Management
- Agreement Management
- Purchase Performance Management
- Competence Development Management

Qualifications

We are looking for you with deep knowledge of leading and developing a professional way of doing Purchasing. You love to work with tasks spreading from how to work with purchasing and systems support to building a purchasing strategy.

You have worked several years in a leading purchasing position, strategic/tactical or operative positions and are used to work in a global market place. Preferable you have worked with process development, improvement methods and practical experience of process development within the area of purchasing.

It is beneficial if you have knowledge and understanding of the IKEA Value Chain and process landscape or similar industries.

You are passionate and driven by developing the business and yourself to deliver results. You have a strong desire to collaborate and to improve current ways of working. You are able to transform the big picture into structural knowledge and learnings, to be able to reach and communicate the result.

You are good to motivate and inspire people, as well as a skilled communicator and educator. You have high integrity and the ability to work with both tactical and operational issues.

You are a team player that like to work with others.

This means that you will lead, contribute and develop the way of working from how we conduct operative purchasing and development of suppliers to tactical and strategical purchasing.
