Job Description

In this position as the Project Manager, the primary role is to plan for and manage multiple energy efficient lighting upgrade projects at a time.

Compensation Range: $40-$45K starting + benefits along with paid holidays & vacation time + performance bonuses + quick growth.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Visit potential clients to conduct energy and lighting audits
  • Learn our product offering in order to understand the optimal solution for varying applications
  • Assist with reporting and data entry while maintaining documentation for projects
  • Work directly with the Project Coordinator to plan, execute and manage the installation process while adhering to policies and procedures, deadlines and budget requirements
  • Supervise on-site installation to ensure work is being done on schedule and to a high standard of workmanship
  • Keep track of project statuses of multiple lighting projects at a time and ensure management and sales representatives are kept up to date on project progress

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA preferred)
  • At least 2-3 years’ work experience in project management for lighting or other related relevant experience
  • Knowledge of lighting and electrical principles preferred, and a demonstrated interest in energy efficiency and lighting technology

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Project management skills and demonstrated ability to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Understanding of the various types of conventional lamps and fixtures in retail, commercial and industrial settings
  • Competent with both lighting design and calculations. Knowledge of lighting control systems a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints, lighting layouts & schedules, AutoCAD files, and photometrics is a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, and team player qualities
  • Professional attitude and ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficient in using MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook, as well as flexibility to learn and utilize in-house software applications
