Job Description

Cyber Intelligence Analyst
  • Clearance: TS/SCI
  • Location: Springfield, VA
  • Years of Experience: 11-15 Years

The candidate supports customer External Threat Detection programs by directly interfacing with the Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) to identify and respond to potential network intrusions and attacks from foreign actors. The candidate must demonstrate thorough understanding and training as a Cyber analyst with familiarity with the Counterintelligence (CI) mission. The candidate is knowledgeable in the operations and resources of the intelligence community; experienced utilizing DoD/IC audit collection, monitoring and analysis tools on secure information systems to identify potential external threats. The candidate must have familiarity with DoD and IC community audit and analysis tools. The candidate performs event analysis by examining system/network event data using tools such as ArcSight and SourceFire.  

Responsibilities:

  • Directly supports the Cyber CI External Threat mission while conducting in-depth analysis of intelligence data received through diverse audit tools and data sources
  • Authors Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs)
  • Attends CSOC meetings as the CI representative
  • Authors analytic products for organizational leadership identifying potential vulnerabilities/CI threats to employees
  • Research and identify topics for daily Indications & Warning slides supporting daily leadership briefing to inform leadership of cyber trends/current and future network threats
  • Performs threat analysis, threat forecasts and threat alerts, and recommends countermeasures
  • Prepare formal reports of findings and recommendations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance (Polygraph may be required)
  • Bachelor’s degree or experience within related equivalent field
  • Familiarity with Foreign Intelligence and Security Services (FISS) use of technology to target, collect and exploit target systems
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate cyber security related data from host network audits, enterprise security managers and other related sources into investigative or analytical products
  • Understanding of intelligence cycle/architecture; planning, collection, research, analysis and production
  • Must have working familiarity with Intelligence Community management of information, classification, dissemination and information and records system
  • Required Education (Including Major): Bachelor degree in related field
  • 11 years of Cyber analyst, Counterintelligence analyst or other relevant experience
  • Excellent communication, briefing and writing skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external organizations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Intelligence and/or DoD Customers
  • Familiarity with ArcSight queries and reports
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing threat and mission
