Basic Function: The Cloud Business Intelligence Engineer at MicroStrategy Cloud plays an integral role designing and supporting customer architecture and Cloud services. The Engineer will work closely with the Cloud Operations, Support and Technology Cloud Engineering. The role offers the opportunity to highlight design, best practices and architecture skills through understanding the customer’s implementations. Strong knowledge of AWS services and a programming language is a bonus.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

• Administer, manage and maintain the MicroStrategy Enterprise Application for the MicroStrategy Cloud (Intelligence Server, Web Server, Mobile Server, Usher Security suite, Developer, Systems Manager, Integrity Manager, R, Eclipse-SDK, etc)
• Coordinate, schedule and perform installation and configuration for the MicroStrategy Cloud environment delivery process (new deployments, upgrades, migrations, etc)
• Continue to learn and evolve the deployment of MicroStrategy in the Cloud, in order to incorporate new functions and enhance the Cloud platform. Document the set up and work with the team on automating suitable tasks
• Enhance, streamline and document the backend processes to continue scaling and simplifying the environment management
• Identify trends in affectations that require Technical Support involvement; design solutions to fix/prevent those affectations, either by automation or architectural improvements
• Provide Expert Services for stress testing, sizing, configuration audits, on-site implementation of best practices, performance tuning, ETL routines, Data modelling, among others
• Assist Customer Support to triage complex issues about the product and deployment on the MicroStrategy Cloud architecture
  

• BA / BS required (in Computer Science or IT related fields) or equivalent experience
• Experience with either BI, DB and/or ETL software
• Proficient in data collection and analysis using SQL
• Knowledgeable in: data warehousing, loosely coupled client-server architecture, Cloud Solutions, scripting, programming, AWS essentials and best practices for Cloud related services
• Proven ability to interpret business requirements.
• Articulate and detail oriented, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Enjoy working as a team, collaborating in a follow the sun schema with a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
• Experience with MicroStrategy v9 or v10 is a plus
