Based in Geneva, Switzerland and reporting to the Head of Engineering in the Product Innovation Department we are looking to strengthen our team with a

Network Engineer

You will be part of a skilled Engineering team being part of the Group R&D central division. You will be in charge of the design, validation and industrializes networking technologies and new services, providing pre-sale support and helping operations teams with network support (level 3) and knowledge sharing.

Your Responsibilities:

To succeed in your role :
You build and keep a expertise level knowledge on evolving HoistGroup product portfolio (Internet access, IPTV, Wifi) in close co-working with the Engineering team members. You design appropriate network solutions, considering multiple criteria including security, performance, exploitability, cost. You certify network equipment, maintain efficient, standardized documentation and processes and consolidate relationship with hardware vendors.
You are actor in providing pre-sale support, technical expertise in pre-sale phases for non standard projects. You serve as the internal consultant in providing technical trainings and sharing knowledge. You support technical on-site implementation for new/non-standard products or architectures.
You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You frequently work with the Operations and Sales teams providing them with technical training and knowledge and acting like the highest level of escalation for trouble shooting of complex cases.

Your experience:

2-4 years of professional experience in a technical environment, as Network Engineer or network administrator.
Experience in managing technical projects is a plus.
Technical certifications on Wifi, Cisco & VMware technologies are a plus
Fluent in English (additional knowledge in a language like French or German a plus)

Your technical skills :

Good understanding of Networking technologies and protocols in particular :
- TCP/IP, 802.3 & routing protocols
- Wifi
- Internet technologies and protocols (HTTP, SSL, IPSEC, DNS)

Good knowledge on equipment such as switches, routers, Wireless, firewalls, gateway devices, packet shapers, servers.
Knowledge in virtualization (VMware vSphere), Linux (Debian, SuSE) and in VoIP technologies a plus.
