The Materials Management Manager/Instrument Technologist is professionally responsible for the management of materials, supplies, and equipment for the surgery center.

Materials Management Manager/Instrument Technologist is an integral part of the surgical team and is also responsible for the sterilization of instruments and sterilizer monitoring.

Essential Functions

Track equipment and supplies brought into the surgery center.

Maintain proper IFU's for such equipment and supplies

Work closely with distributors to obtain the best quality products and pricing

Track vendor compliance with regulatory and infection prevention requirements

Complete orders in a timely fashion

Maintain and track inventory

Experience with Envy Software a plus

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years medical material management experience required

Experience as a surgical technologist

Minimum of 1 year in an OR setting

Position Requirements:

BLS certification or within 30 days of hire

Strong computer skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Outgoing, friendly personality with ability to take initiative
