Job Description
The role will provide support to the Program Director in the following areas:
Research, identify and follow up on funding opportunities – contacts, web search, etc. according to Good Return strategy and mission/vision
Coordinate funding proposal writing – submit proposals to funders
Support partnership development, due diligence and follow up
Create and manage tools to ensure effective compliance with Good Return processes and policies
Support the implementation and monitoring of Good Return’s social inclusion policies (Gender Equality, Disability Inclusion, Child Protection) and action plans/strategies (e.g. the Gender Strategy and Action Plan)
Build partner staff capacity and engagement in social inclusion and social protection
Work with partners to develop their organisational approach to social inclusion and protection issues
Coordinate with project managers to ensure compliance with Good Return processes and policies assisting Good Return achieve its strategic goals including mainstreaming social inclusion considerations at all stages of the project life cycle
Occasional production of short blogs, photographs and/or video for the Good Return website or social medias
Other responsibilities as identified during the year
Partnership Support
Support relationship building with relevant community organisations (eg, Disabled Persons Organisations) who are best placed to facilitate awareness raising, training and/or represent community members (e.g. persons with disabilities) in the community where our programs operate
Support effective communications between Cambodian partner organisations and GR team
Qualifications
IMPORTANT: Citizenship – you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency to apply for this position. Applicants not meeting this requirement will not be considered.
Essential skills & experience:
Hold a degree in Economics, Humanities, International Development or similar (Masters preferred)
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Experience in researching and preparing analysis reports and proposals - proposal writing experience highly desired
Influencer and networker who enjoys engaging and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Independent living or travel experience, preferably in a developing country
Experience working in a cross-cultural context, especially within teams
Desirable skills & experience:
Strong academic record
Knowledge of international funders / donors
Comfort in using digital communication channels (such as online collaboration tools, instant messaging and social media).
Foreign language skills (particularly Asia Pacific languages)

Additional Information
The placement will commence in-country in July 2018. Applicants must be available for a one week induction course (held in May 2018 at Good Return’s Sydney office), prior to the commencement of their placement. Later commencement dates and/or periods of less than 12 months will not be considered.
Good Return will provide international airfares, certain pre-departure medical costs, visa expenses, insurance and a monthly living allowance (including accommodation costs).
