Director of Data Management

Data Management

  • Design, Execute and Operationalize a new ETL capability to replace our home grown data ingress platform
  • Develop an enterprise-wide data strategy to manage data quality and master data management
  • Develop a standard Spear data model that can support the a growing roster of DPMS partner systems
  • Develop a standard data model that allows integration of expense data, marketing data and other strategic information categories
  • Create an operations capability that allows constant monitoring and health management of data-related jobs and overall data health.

Information Governance - Ensure that all regulated data (HIPAA, PCI) is properly classified and that the appropriate protections and governance controls are in place to protect throughout its lifecycle.

 


  • Ensure that a regulated data (HIPAA, PCI) touched by Spear technologies is properly classified.
  • Ensure that data controls, access control and processes are compliant with governance requirements of HIPAA and PCI, if in scope.

Advanced Analytics - Build a stable and high-quality data analytics infrastructure that allows for a “bring your own visualization” approach in the organization wherever insights are needed.


  • In partnership with LOB leaders, develop a strategy to aggregate SoR information and integrate it to provide enterprise analytics.
  • Ensure that developed data infrastructure is accurate, up to date and available for visualization needs elsewhere in the organization.

Manage data-related support and service requests to a set of transparent SLAs and continuously improve our data operations to reduce the occurrence of production issues.


  • Establish a set of data services to be offered to the organization at agreed upon SLAs
  • Ensure we are compliant with incident SLAs and driving towards quick resolution of issues
  • Enable a continuous feedback look to improve the delivery of services and reduce the number and severity of production issues

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office environment, normal noise levels, comfortable temperature, no extreme conditions.
  • Professional attire required.
  • A personal vehicle is necessary for this position as excursions to local vendors will be required on a regular basis (lunch runs, trips to bank or offsite meetings)
