Job Description

Our current clients include Evergreen Center, Beacon ABA Services, Criterion Child Enrichment, and Beacon Services of Connecticut. 

HSMC is currently seeking a Third Party Medical Billing and Collections Coordinator!

Responsibilities

  • Submits insurance claims to clearinghouse or individual insurance companies
  • Reviews denials and partially paid claims and help resolve discrepancies
  • Follows up on pending claims to insure they are paid and/or corrected
  • Submits insurance claims to clearinghouse or individual insurance companies
  • Cash applications
  • Follows HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications

  • Strong experience and understanding of insurance claims such as, insurance ID, diagnosis and treatment codes and modifiers and provider information
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two (2) years of experience in third party insurance or private pay billing and collections
  • Experience in a fast paced office environment preferred
  • Experience in human services or health care preferred
