Regional Technical Support Specialist (Production Print)

Company Description

Our client in the printing industry is looking for their Regional Technical Support Specialist (Production Print), to be based in Singapore.

Job Description

  • Support subsidiaries and customers on Production Print devices and related solutions, resolving their issues in a timely manner
  • Be the liaison person for related escalations Troubleshoot, reproduce and help resolve issues raised by subsidiaries or distributors
  • Provide technical consultations to regional subsidiaries and customers with regards to both hardware and software
  • Conduct classroom training to subsidiaries or distributors on PP devices and solutions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and deadlines
  • Any other duties as deemed fit by management

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Computing Science/Information Systems or related technical areas, with min. 4 years of working experience
  • Working experience of Digital Production Printer hardware trouble shooting (Developing Unit, Drum unit, Transfer belt unit, Fusing unit, etc.)
  • Experience of providing training to technical specialist
  • In depth understanding of Production Printers, color management, and the various print technologies
  • Working knowledge of Macintosh and Windows environments
  • Experience of working on other printing industry such as inkjet, offset will be advantageous
  • Familiarity with print related languages (Postscript, JDF) will be advantageous
  • Familiarity with VDP technologies and solutions will be advantageous
  • Good interpersonal and customer handling skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Willing to travel
