Job Description

The Data Analyst endeavors to work with enterprise users and data stewards to understand the analytics needs of the organization and building standard data models. Furthermore, ensuring that warehouse data is compliant, access control is appropriately maintained and that authorized users can bring a visualization tool to generate KPIs, dashboards and reports to support Spear business and Spear products.

  • Definition and extension of a standard relational data model and analytics cubes for the Spear data warehouse, to support data from various sources and formats and to service the needs of both product analytics as well as internal Line of Business and enterprise Shared Services
  • Definition of data quality standards, data dictionaries and data mastering process to act as technical requirements of our data warehouse
  • Conduct full data life cycle analysis of data warehouse information to ensure visibility of enterprise data, proper data classification and protection of information correct role-based access to the information
  • Assist in the consultation with internal business partners to assess needs and construct coherent technical requirements for new data warehouse needs and capabilities

Qualifications

Required Experience:
•    4+ years of experience in data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering/analysis.
•    Hands on experience working with MySQL and Redshift SQL.
•    Query and analyze large sets of data to draw conclusions and make recommendations to the business using statistical models and data mining techniques combined with business and operational knowledge.
•    Works cross-functionally with other departments in troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to master data.
•    Strong history delivering and discussing analytics outputs to non-technical end-users.
•    Experience working with business stakeholders to solve complicated data-related problems by matching business. objectives with existing solutions, ad-hoc analytics and knowledge of what’s possible with more sophisticated data and analytics approaches.
•    Strong knowledge on AWS environment (Redshift, Lambda, S3, EC2, VPC, Amazon API Gateway).
•    Ability to deliver technical concepts to technical/non-technical persons, orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Talend Data Integration experience.
•    AWS Certifications preferred.
•    Experience working with the Master Data Management methodology.
•    3+ years of experience working with an AWS Redshift and RDS environment.
•    Experience creating dashboards utilizing an analytical platform such as Tableau, PowerBI, Domo, etc.
